SM City Iloilo Off-Site Payment Center Opens on February 14

The Iloilo City Government’s Off-Site Payment Center at SM City Iloilo is set to open on February 14 at 3:30 PM, located on the Lower Ground Floor in front of Our Home and Storyland. This digitized and convenient payment center aims to bring the ease of doing business in the city to the next level.

The payment center offers a range of services, including the renewal of business permits, assistance with creating iBPLS accounts, payment for Real Property Tax (RPT), issuance of Community Tax Certificate, and other permit-related issuances such as Fire Safety Inspection Certificate, Sanitary Permit, Tourism License, Boarding House, and IGCAPP permits. This is in addition to the off-site payment centers already established at The Atrium’s third floor, Megaworld Festive Walk Parade Building’s second floor, and Marymart Center’s second-floor food court area.

This partnership between the Iloilo City Government and SM City highlights the concept of public-private partnership, with SM providing the space for free (excluding common use service area and electricity fees). Local Economic Development and Investment Promotion Head Velma Lao said, “As of January 3 to 20, some 4,000 were served in the malls, and the payment centers and online systems are of great help as we are making things easier for the people who cannot go to City Hall to process their papers.”

The goal of this initiative is to digitize transactions by creating a system connected to the City Hall database, providing more accessible and convenient services as the city transforms into a smart city.
