The 2023 Salakayan Festival was a night to remember as the tribes of the region gathered to celebrate their culture and heritage. The highlight of the event was the Tribes’ Night and Awarding ceremony, where the best-performing tribe was awarded for their efforts.
After a day of captivating performances and intense competition, Tribu Kabugwason emerged as the champion and was awarded a cash prize of 60,000 pesos and a trophy. Their performance was a showcase of their traditional dance, music, and costumes, and was a crowd-pleaser.
The 1st runner-up was Tribu Baklayanon, who received a cash prize of 45,000 pesos and a trophy. The 2nd runner-up was Tribu Tabun-ak, who received a cash prize of 30,000 pesos and a trophy.
The Salakayan Festival is an annual event that brings together the different tribes of the region to celebrate their unique traditions, music, and dance. The festival serves as a platform for the tribes to showcase their talents and preserve their cultural heritage for future generations.
