With an exhilarating schedule of events showcasing the rich heritage and lively spirit of the town, this year’s festival is themed “Kultura kag Kahilwayan, Padulong sa Kadarag-an,” which translates to “Culture and Freedom, Heading Towards Progress.”
Unveiling the Festivities
The week-long celebration kicks off on February 5, Monday, with a dynamic array of events:
- 9:00 AM: The festivities begin with the Opening of Agro-Trade Fair at the Municipal Building Grounds, where local agriculture and trade will be in the spotlight.
- 1:30 PM: A solemn Salakayan Mass at Miagao Church will set a reverent tone for the week’s events.
- 3:00 PM: Don’t miss the Opening Salvo and Float Parade, a kaleidoscope of colors and creativity, followed by the Opening of the Food Festival at 4:30 PM on Sto. Tomas Street.
- 5:00 PM: Witness the pride of Miagao as various Barangay Banners are raised at the Public Plaza, and join in the anticipation for the Search for Ms. Salakayan 2024 at JRBB Hall at 7:00 PM.

The day concludes with Tribes’ Night & Awarding and a Disco with Fireworks Display.

- February 11, Sunday: Thanksgiving Mass at 8:00 AM at Miagao Church, adrenaline-pumping “Riders Set Go” 2nd RSG Miagao Motocross at 8:30 AM at Mt. Zion, and a heartwarming AGAPE & Video Presentation of Salakayan Festival 2024 at 9:00 AM at JRBB Hall. The closing event, “Pasidungog” and Balikbayan Night, will start at 6:00 PM at the Public Plaza.
