In a stunning display of grace and talent, Alexie Mae Brooks was crowned Miss Iloilo 2024 on Saturday, January 13. The glittering event took place at the West Visayas State University Cultural Center, marking a significant milestone in the annual Dinagyang Festival celebrations.
Alexie, a 22-year-old athlete and model from Leon, outshone 14 other competitors to clinch the prestigious title. Not only did she win the crown, but she also impressed the judges and audience alike by winning the Best in Swimsuit award, along with several corporate accolades.
This victory paves the way for Alexie to represent Iloilo City in the much-anticipated Miss Universe Philippines 2024 pageant. Her journey to the crown was marked by dedication and hard work, a fact she acknowledged in her social media post: “Alexie Mae Caimoso Brooks, your Miss Iloilo 2024. Manifesting, working, and claiming – a journey of gratitude. Thank you, Universe.”
The event also recognized other remarkable talents. Hamda Judicpa, Raniella Louise Aguila, Angel Jed Latorre, and Nicklyn Jutay were honored as Heartfelt Queens. Pearl Angel France and Shaima Al Yansuri shone as well, securing positions as the first and second runners-up, respectively.
The Miss Iloilo 2024 competition, a key highlight of the Dinagyang Festival, was hosted by former Miss Grand Philippines Nicole Cordoves and Miss Universe Philippines Rabiya Mateo. The judging panel boasted prominent figures like former Miss Earth Philippines Jenny Ramp and Miss International Philippines Nicole Borromeo, adding a touch of glamour and expertise to the proceedings.
